For the go-getters, the volunteers, and the silent achievers—the Student Edge Passport showcases all of the student.
Student Edge Co-CEO and Co-Founder Jeremy Chetty sat down on ABC Radio WA with Christine Layton on Monday afternoon.
The segment aired ahead of the official launch of the Student Edge Passport, a free online tool where students can input their experiences and school accolades to create a digital profile.
The Passport is aimed at helping young people create a more complete picture of themselves, highlighting their values, work experience, hobbies skills and more.
“It’s been produced to help students and their families, as a digital capture (of student life) from Year Seven onwards,” Jeremy said.
“This is a new way of capturing all the cool stuff (students do)—we were hearing stories from parents saying, ‘what about my son and daughter that actually put on a high school musical end to end? Where’s that stored?’ So we built the product off the back of that feedback.”

Jeremy said the Student Edge Passport is aimed at collating all the achievements made by students “other than the academic transcript”.
Students can also use the Passport to generate a free resume that will help them apply for jobs, scholarships, university entry and more.
“No one likes building a resume. We’ve built a new way with the Passport where in one click it spits out a resume for you. You can customise it, you can put colour to it—students will never ever have to make a resume again.”
Christine prompted her audience to call in with their high school experiences, with one caller expressing how useful the passport would be to his two teenage daughters.
