In an exciting new partnership, Student Edge and North Lake Senior Campus Fremantle Fast Track are committing to deliver crucial life, job and money skills to 60 students across 2022-23.
Student Edge Plus learning pathways, along with the Passport, will be embedded into the unique learning program at North Lake Senior Campus to enhance the personalisation of individual students’ curriculums.
Unlike schooling in some mainstream environments, the Fremantle Fast Track program helps young students from a range of different backgrounds reach their full potential.
Dr Antoinette Morris is the Program Coordinator of Fremantle Fast Track, she said the Student Edge Plus courses—including mental health, preparing for VET and university, money skills, job readiness and starting a side hustle—will allow students to “take out of that suite of offerings what they need”.
“It gives us a lot more flexibility to tailor a program based on what the kids need at that particular point in time.”

The Student Edge Passport, a one-click resume and digital profile, is set to further enhance how the students view their achievements and build upon them.
Dr Morris explained that many young people have a problem seeing the positives of their learning styles and personal strengths.
“I can see that the Passport will actually allow young people to modify how they interact with the curriculum to better fit with their learning style—while providing a really sophisticated, really good-looking document that captures it for them,” she said.
With a program that combines TAFE training, school, and work employment all at once, the students in the Fremantle Fast Track collect a variety of experience, life skills and micro-credentials that will now be captured on their Student Edge Passports.
With the fusion of the current program, the Student Edge Plus Pathways and Passport, the 2022-23 North Lake Senior Campus Fremantle Fast Track cohort are set to have access to an educational ecosystem that’s reinventing what schooling can look like.
